I stood in the middle of the room, looking at all the people around me. They were familiar faces, yet I knew none of them. One of them walked up and took my hand. I walked throught the people, and they smiled. The person led me out to a courtyard scattered with flowers and pointed up at the night sky.
It was heavily laden with stars.
"That is your place." The person said.
"Up...?" I asked looking at the person.
"No. There." THe person pointed into the stars again.
"Where?"
"You have to see it yourself. It has to be clear."
"But it's not." I said confused.
"Just walk a little straighter, and it will be, one day."
"But how do I know if I'm doing the right thing?"
"You must be doing something right." He smiled at me
.A woman came out and the man left, leaving me with his words.
"I don't supose you'll tell me where I'm 'sposed to be."
"There's no rhyme or reason, darling."
"Don't I know it." i said sighing.
"But why don't you stay?" She smiled. "Oh, and sorry about your neck, babe." She laughed and left.
I put my hand to my neck. What?
Now, a man and a woman walked out.
The man was much older than the woman, but they both glowed.
"Hello, Naomi." The woman said, smiling.
"How'd you know my name?" I bit my lip. "Do you all know me? Is there something I'm missing here?"
"You know us very well, but only by the sound of our voice." The man said very softly.
"But how do you know me?"
"WE talk to you everyday." She said.
"Everyday? Then do you know where I'm going?"
"No, but you do, deep down." The man said.
"You'll realize all you ever wanted." The woman said.
"Why do you keep speaking in riddles?" I sat down on the ground, my head in my hands. I was so confused.
"Naomi, we're speaking in words that you understand perfectly." The man said.
"But...you're not." I looked up, expecting another riddle. But they weren't there anymore. I put my head in my hands again and wondered how I was going to get back home.
I heard footsteps and sighed."Are you here to confuse me even more?" I directed the question at a middle-aged man with a tan and a guitar.
He strummed the guitar."When the sun goes down..."
"I'll take that as a yes." I sighed once again.
He sat down next to me."Naomi, I want you to think about something."
"Hm?" All of a sudden every one knows my name. Great, just great.
"What is something that you can't live without?"
"Soccer."
"Anything else?"
"Photography."
"Yes, and?"
"Uh, music." I smiled.
"Absolutely. That's the good stuff, huh?" He stood up.
"Wait," I said, as something clicked. "I know you."
"Do you?" And he left. More riddles, ugh.
He spun a hat on his finger, then lifted it to his head.
"what are you? Number..." I asked, sneering.
"Six." He laughed. "Aren't I lucky?"
"Isn't it lucky seven?"
"I guess you could say that."
"How many more?"
"That's an intresting question, Naomi."
"What's your name if you know mine?"
"Mr. A to Z."
"Not really, though."
"I'm all about the wordplay."
"I wish someone would give me some answers."
"I'm yours."
"Yeah, obviously."
"Just think about what Kenney said."
"Wait..." I said looking at the man. Dark hair and a goofy smile.
"Do you?" And he left, just as all the others had.
"Naomi." The young man said, sweeping into a bow. He was wearing a suit. He reminded me of my brother. "If you hear this message, wherever you stand, I'm calling every woman, I'm calling every man. We're the generation that can't afford to wait. The future started yesterday, we're already late."
And with that, before I could say a word, he left. "Gosh, I think life could get a little more confusing!" I looked up at the sky and thought of God. Did he do this? Was that why everyone was pointing to the sky? So many question, and so little answers.
More footsteps. This time, I looked down. A teenager, not yet a woman, stood there smiling.
"Hey."
"Hey." i said cooly.
"Hold on, baby youre losing it."
"Tell me about it, all you people do is talk in rhymes."
"Naomi, you're begining to understand, I can tell. Just think."
"About what?"
"Do you know who I am?"
"No, I don't..." I looked at her face.
"You do." she smiled. "We're both untouchable."
And suddenly it all became clear."Burning brighter than the sun." I said. "And when youre close I feel like coming undone." the man with the guitar showed up, smiling as he played along with me. The girl sang with me, pushing me along. "In the middle of the night when I'm in this dream, it's like a million little stars spelling out your name, you gotta come on, come on, say that we'll be toghether, come on, come on..."
And then they were all there, the first woman who had apologized about my neck, and the old man and young woman who glowed. And the suited man, and the man with the hat, and finally, the man who had led me into the courtyard. He smiled at me and helped me up off the ground.
"Do you understand?"
"Not where I'm going, but where I am, and who you are."
"you know where you're going, just follow the music. I've got a feeling."
"My hearts uh reelin'"
He laughed. "there you go."
I looked at the woman who I had first seen."Don't forget to put on the same shoe." She smiled.
The man and the woman who glowed came up and smiled at me."I told you so." they both said.
If it's cheesy, let me know. If you don't like it, let me know. If you understand it, let me know. (: It was a shot at writing something after a while of not writing. So, it's a bit of a long shot. But it almost says how I feel.

The last Tueday...
I did a shoot with some of my brother's root bear bottles. yeah. you can see more at my other blog.edit.JPG)
I lurf it. It's beautiful.
I lurf it. It's beautiful.
NO.
MORE.
CLASSES.
EVER.
AGAIN.
HA.
HA.
I.
WIN.
I was thinking today about people who frequently look on the wrong side of life. I mean, I think sometimes people get too "emo." I try as hard as I can to look for the bright things in life and never stay down too long. Even when it's hard, I'm serious. I spent like three days crying one week last summer*cough* and I knew I had to get over it. It's not really about me. I think that "emo" people are kinda loners, not because no one likes them, but mostly because they wont reach out there hand to be liked. Or if they have their equally "emo" friends that doesn't help. I think that they think the world revolves around them, and their problems, which aren't really very big to begin with. If they spend all their time saying how horrid their life is and how unhappy they are, they'll never have time to think about what makes them happiest in life. And there is NO way you can say nothing, mostly because theres always a big bowl of ice cream waiting for you.
I think that people who actuall have it really rough are the ones who are happiest, because they try not to think about what they are unthankful for but what the are thankful for. And people whose lives arent that bad tend to think negatively and that little things mean a lot. They don't. So, I think the whole thing I'm getting at (and I hope this doesn't sound, like, mean or rude or something):
Get.
Over.
It.
And.
Yourself.
'cause there's a heck of a lot more people who have it worse than you. So think positive. (:
